Reveal the answer43. You will need the cipher on the second sheet of paper. When you feed the letters on the invite into the cipher, they will read “COUNT THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BALLOONS”. You must count the total number of balloons across the whole game. There are 5 balloons on puzzle 4, 2 balloons on puzzle 5 (the red one and the star), 1 hand-drawn balloon on puzzle 6, 31 balloons on puzzle 7 and 4 balloons on the second sheet for puzzle 7.

Reveal the answer12. Starting from the center of the spiral, the first star lines up with the letter T, the second the letter W, the third the letter E, the fourth the letter L, the fifth the letter V and the sixth the letter E. This spells out TWELVE.

Clue 2What could the numbers on the balloons mean? Could they refer to letters in the text which may spell out something?

Reveal the answer7. The numbers on the balloons refer to LINE, WORD, LETTER IN WORD within the text of the magazine article. So, 3,1,9 in the first balloon is Third line of the text, first word (relationships) and ninth letter (S). Do this for every balloon and you will find the word SEVEN.
The Maze

Clue 2Which picture is next to the entrance which leads to the center of the maze? Have you seen this elsewhere? How many times?

Reveal the answer6. The maze entrance with the blue present is the only one which leads to the center. Throughout the game, you will see the blue present 6 times in total: next to the maze in the present puzzle, under ‘Surprise!’ on the story sheet, on the wooden signpost for the surprise party, next to the recipe title on puzzle 2 (two times) and on the magazine article which goes with puzzle 4.

Reveal the answer36. The order for the surprise party is 3 raspberry croissants ($15) + 2 caramel croissants ($10) + 1 triple chocolate brownie ($5). In total this equals $30. As the bottom of the menu specifies an additional 20% tax, you must add this on. This gives you the total cost of $36.
The Party Bunting

Reveal the answer3. The pictures in the bunting on puzzle 7 are snapshots of areas of the image of the party (with black letters on it). Each piece of bunting shows you an area of the corresponding party image you must look at to see what letter appears inside it. The first image of the party hat has a T in it on the corresponding party image. Carry on this way and you will spell out THREE.
