Witches' Spell: Potion of Secrets

  • Clue 1
    The words in purple and the word in red are all instructing you to do something. Remember, you are looking for a number.
  • Clue 2
    The first part of the spell asks you to begin by dividing the Witch's Hair Strands into two parts, then to place one part in the cauldron. The spell requires 6 Witch's Hair Strands. 6 divided by 2 = 3. So you will place 3 in the cauldron. Continue this way until you have the total number of items in the cauldron.

    23. 6 Witch's Hair Strands divided by 2 is 3. 3 Bat Wings multiplied by 3 is 9. 7 Drops of Dragon's Blood minus 1 is 6. 4 Spider Legs divided by 2 is 2. 5 Drops of Midnight Dew minus 2 is 3. Add together what's in the cauldron (3 + 9 + 6 + 2 + 3 = 23).

    You will need another part of the puzzle to work this out. Can you see another sheet of paper which looks similar?
  • Clue 2
    You will need the other piece of paper which says "START AT THE SKULL". Then, go back to puzzle three and put your pen on the skull. Draw four squares to the right (as per the other sheet of paper). Continue like this.

    2. Start at the skull on the grid on puzzle three and draw lines following the instructions on the "START AT THE SKULL" sheet. You should end up with the outline of a number 2.

The Witches' Riddle

  • Clue 1
    It may first appear complex but think hard about what 'miles per hour' means.
  • Clue 2
    Don't worry about the speeds the witches are flying. You do not need these to solve the riddle. Focus solely on the bat.
  • Reveal the answer
    10. The bat is flying 10 miles per hour. Therefore. after one hour flight without stopping the bat will have flown 10 miles.

The Crystal Ball Spiral

  • Clue 1
    Start at the central ghost. Does it line up with any letters on the exterior of the spiral?
  • Clue 2
    The first ghost (in the center) lines up with the letter 'E' on the outside of the spiral. Follow the spiral around and the second ghost lines up with the letter 'I'. Continue like this.
  • Reveal the answer
    8. Starting at the first ghost in the center of the spiral and working your way outwards, each ghost lines up with a different letter on the exterior of the spiral. The letters spell out EIGHT.

The Vampire Frame

  • Clue 1
    You will need another piece of the puzzle to solve this. Can you see a similar design elsewhere?
  • Clue 2
    This is a type of cipher. So if you compare it to the 'key' on the other piece of paper, you will see that your first shape is a 'T'. The second shape is an 'H'. And so on...
  • Reveal the answer
    6. Once you use your cipher to work out which letters the shapes correspond to, you will spell out THE CODE IS SIX.

    What creature isn't a threat when the sun rises and you can save yourself from with silver bullets and a gun? It's a werewolf. Now you know, can you work out how to get a number from your answer?
