The Code in the picture frame
-
Clue 1You will need another sheet to solve this puzzle.
-
Clue 2Take a look at the page in a book talking about Lord Shadowfoot and the ghostly goings-on at Shadowfoot Manor. Could you use the code in the picture frame to spell out a word? The first number could be a line from the book, the second a word, and the third the letter that you need from that word.
-
Reveal the answerTWELVE. You need the page from the book about Shadowfoot Manor to solve this puzzle. The first number in the picture frame is a line from the book, the second a word, and the third the letter that you need from that word. So, for example 1.1.10 is first line, first word and tenth letter (which is 't'). 9.7.1 is the ninth line, seventh word and first letter (which is a 'w'). Carry on like this.
The locks and keys
-
Clue 1You will need to do some math to solve this puzzle.
-
Clue 2Take a look at the first set of padlocks and the key. How could you do math with 9 and 3 to get the answer 27? Does this same approach work with the second set of padlocks and the key?
-
Reveal the answer22. In the first set of padlocks, 9 x 3 = 27. In the second set, 4 x 8 = 32. So in the third set, to get your answer you need 2 x 11 (which equals 22).
The three gravestones
-
Clue 1Each grave is numbered 1, 2 and 3 and has a word in red. Could this mean something?
-
Clue 2On grave '1', take the first letter of the word in red. On grave '2', the second letter of the word in red. And so on.
-
Reveal the answerTWO. On grave '1', you need to take the first letter of the word in red (which is 't'). On grave '2', the second letter of the word in red (which is 'w'). On grave '3', the third letter of the word in red (which is 'o'). This spells out 'two'.
